Sen. Cruz Unveils SANDBOX Act to Grant AI Firms Regulatory Waivers
Sen. Ted Cruz introduced the SANDBOX Act, a bill to create a regulatory "sandbox" letting AI companies seek waivers from "obstructive" rules for products that use at least one AI system. Waivers would run two years and be renewable up to 10 years; companies must disclose plans to mitigate consumer safety and financial risks.
