Half of Americans More Worried Than Excited About AI, Pew Reports
Pew Research finds Americans are largely skeptical of AI: 50% are more concerned than excited (up from 37% in 2021). Top worries include loss of creativity and meaningful relationships; 66% want AI kept out of dating and 73% oppose it advising on religion. Eighteen percent cite misinformation as the top concern, 53% can’t confidently ID AI-generated content, younger adults are more worried, and 61% want more control though 57% feel they have little.
